VCU Globe celebrates inaugural graduation

Surrounded by family and friends, students in the inaugural cohort of VCU Globe celebrated their completion of the program in a graduation ceremony on Friday, February 12. 

Senior Cydni Gordon was selected as the student speaker for the ceremony, and reflected on her time in the program. "A lot has changed since I came to VCU four years ago and joined Globe as a sophomore," she said. "I’ve matured and I’ve started to travel the world. Through this program I’ve come to see VCU in a new light. I can confidently say, coming to VCU and joining Globe was the best choice I’ve made."

A total of 37 students received certificates of completion from the program, 17 of whom received Peace Corps Prep designations.
